Urban Horror Adventure

Gameplay

The Last Broadcast is a classic survival horror experience, inspired by the Resident Evil and Silent Hill series. Explore an abandoned facility as you attempt to uncover the truth behind your grandfather’s mysterious death. Use your special Field Radio to interact with your environment, unlock doors, and activate equipment as you uncover forbidden secrets and step into your role as the Technician. Finish the work, follow the signal.

Designing the world

The world of The Last Broadcast has evolved, from sprawling cityscapes to cramped industrial complexes, and disparate corners of the world easily forgotten or ignored. This story is about the decisions made in dark basements and behind closed doors, where the lines between science and spirituality blur.

The Tech

The Last Broadcast is currently being developed using Unity3D. While this is currently a solo project, it is backed with 8+ years of software development experience and game design understanding to implement solid gameplay mechanics. Currently, the goal is to aim for a cross-platform release on major consoles and PC with full controller and keyboard support.

Waking up in a seemingly abandoned facility far underground, this game throws you into a strange world where your only guide is a mysterious voice coming over a radio. In this place the radio stations are unique, allowing the player to interact with the world. While one may unlock a door, another may influence the minds of enemies to make you invisible. While the source of the signals is still unclear, it's obvious there is another force at work.

Storytelling is forefront and that includes the gameplay. Each element of the world has a specific reason for functioning how it does. From magical radio stations, to teleporting TVs, to seemingly sentient robotics, every interaction and mechanic helps build the story of the world.

Labor of Love

At the moment this game is currently still in production with a one-man team. I have been using Unity3D to build out all mechanics from the ground up and have been in the process of developing a demo. All of the art scene in these screenshots is currently placeholder and does not reflect the final vision for this project.
